An energetic empath with a knack for words.
I'm a hybrid of a creative writer, journalist and social activist. I'm equal-parts media junkie and lifelong lover of literature. I believe that, in order to break through the noise, one has to write with courage, purpose, passion and energy. I believe I am that kind of writer.
I don’t back down from challenges or give half-hearted efforts. As the daughter of Colombian parents, I pride myself on the famous Hamilton lyric, “Immigrants: We get the job done.”
My experience ranges from being being the first bilingual creative writer for Hallmark cards; the sole copywriter for an ad agency with high-profile multilingual, multicultural clients; a local news writer; the voice of a talking, singing mouse plush; an educator in the US and Colombia; and a volunteer Spanish-language medical interpreter for 4+ years.
My versatility ranges from writing marketing campaigns, TV and radio commercials, children's books, greeting cards, blogs about diversity and intersectional issues, newspaper articles, social media content, creative and cultural consulting, music for kids product, and on.
